Mazda tasked one of it’s design teams “to invent a novel means of registering motion in vehicles whether they’re moving or still.”
The result is these set of concept cars that just drip with potential energy.
Forget the Audi R8, I want one of these! :D

Flame on!
P.S. Sorry for the huge image. But I’m sure you don’t mind anyway.

The Ryuga looks sweeeet from the front. Love that first pic, especially with the dragon-esque doors! Not too impressed with the back though; it almost looks like a station wagon from that angle…
The Hakaze = bleh. Not a fan of SUV-like designs at all, and that huge silver “mouth” in the front just looks tacky, in my opinion.
I’d still take the R8 any day. Actually saw one at the ‘08 International Auto Show here in NYC on Sunday, and it looks just as deadly in person as it does in pictures. :)

Kunal, the second photo is actually the Nagare, not the Ryuga. Photo of the Ryuga back. And here’s a side angle. It doesn’t stick out as much as the Nagare back end :)
Mazda hasn’t released any performance specs on these concepts since they don’t plan to producing production models until around 2015-2020 :S
As for the Hakaze, it wouldn’t be my first choice but I do like do like SUV-esque cars like the Infiniti FX.
But yeah, I wouldn’t complain if I was STUCK with a plain old R8 :p
Mazda RX-8 ownz all.
